Burlesque Drawings - Helena Maizlin

'Burlesque Series' are created in a playfully seductive manner. I share my personal aesthetic senses and subjective view on the female beauty and its gracious forms. Female bodies are rendered in an expressionistic style with aggressive pastel strokes, emphasizing the dimensions of the figures. I use a strong red background to bring seductive energy and emotional tension into my images. The flat background further pushes female figures towards the viewer.
